Louisie kidded with two beautiful twin doelings! One looked like Disco (and her 1/2 sister Firecracker), the other was black with tan trim. We can't keep a lot of babies this year so we had to sell them. They went to a really good home, but it was still hard. Louisie is a very special goat.
I got Louisie when I was seven, when she got me, she a few weeks old. I had recently celebrated her second birthday. Now, the new year is coming, and so are Leese Bombs babies. Every day, I am to go check and see if any Winters or Twinkles are being born. And every night, me and my father go and check again.
So far, no Winters or Twinkles have been spotted. but hopefully some will pop up soon! Goin' out to check now Shirley oh Shirley! The spoiled rotten free goat! AND the Stock Show champion.
Shirley beat all the expensive does in the show! Grand Champion each day. Both judges. For a reward, Shirley has gotten her own website, www.uglygoatmilksoap.com. A friend of a friend got out of goats and was giving away her lgd. We decided to try her out. We already have one, Janie, but thought having another one for the back pasture would be good.
We brought her home last night and put her in a big dog kennel. It was away from the goats but she could still see them. We thought we would give her two weeks to get used to being here before we let her in with the goats. She thought different. :) Last night, she got out of the big dog kennel and put herself into the goat pasture (the one that Janie wasn't in). Here are some pictures... Louise grew so fast. She will turning two, and I am throwing her a party. It will be in the barn since her birthday is on Dec. 11th. I have bought her a 4-H printed collar. Do you think she will like it? Here are some pictures of her life.
Hi,
I love to spend time with any kind of dairy goat. Mine or not. The first goat ever to step on this dairy, that was a dairy goat for showing was, well, Louisiana Star. She is a spoiled rotten goat, and a brat. She is from Pruittville Nubains. Louise ( Louise is her nick name) is a wonderful show goat with lots of qualities. She has great body capacity, She needs to develop in general appearance and dairy character. As you can see, she loves to burp up cud, especially when I am with her |
